Fruit Plate List: Fruit will be judged using the same general criteria used for vegetables. Fruit will be judged for the stage of maturity normal for that season and growing location. Emphasis will be placed on how well fruit approaches market quality. When selecting fruits for exhibition, keep in mind that the judge will evaluate them on the basis of cleanliness, uniformity, condition, quality, and trueness to variety. Rules
- The products entered in class PJ1430 and PJ1432 may not be removed from that display to be used in the other classes. You must have seperate items for that class.
- All entries in Department PJ must be grown by the exhibitors during the current year except entries in classes PJ3471, PJ3472 and PJ3473, which should be from the previous year.
- Grain shall be exhibited in a one gallon container furnished by the exhibitor.
- All exhibits must be in place by 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6.
- Exhibits will be exhibited in the 4-H Building.
- Exhibits should be free from dirt. (For example: Potatoes washed, sweet corn husked, onions brushed but not peeled, dry skins removed, etc.) No waxes, oils or polishes on vegetables allowed.Click here for a pdf of information regarding the preparation of vegetables for exhibit or copies are available at the fair office.
- Please do not remove the ribbions from your exhibit until Saturday afternoon.
- Entries must be made by noon on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
- Display on STURDY disposable plates.
- Social Security number is required.
- Junior exhibitors may make two entries per class.
