Must be cooped by 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6.
Your invoice/receipt for purchasing your poultry will be required to show the fair veterinarian. If you hatched your own poultry, your NPIP Approval Number will be required to show the Fair Veterinarian.
The superintendent plans to be in the barn approximately 6:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m., if you need assistance.
Rules
- Each specimen competing for a prize must be entered in the name of the bonafide owner. Any attempt to evade this rule by borrowing birds or buying with the understanding that the birds shall be returned to the original owner after the show or any other conditions shall bar coops entering by any person so doing.
- All entries must be made by noon on Saturday, July 2.
- Exhibitors are limited to 2 entries per class.
- Cooping beings at 5:00 p.m., but all birds must be cooped by 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6. They will be released following the poultry show, except for the sale animals. They must remain until after the auction.
- Your invoice/receipt for purchasing your poultry will be required to show the fair veterinarian. If you hatched your own poultry, your NPIP Approval Number will be required. Although you may have turned in a copy of your invoice or NPIP number to the office, you will still need to bring a copy when you bring your poultry. The Superintendents plan to be in the barn from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. If you have any problems, please notify the superintendent immediately.
- All poultry must have been hatched during 2022. Breeding age birds are acceptable for the miscellaneous class.
- Miscellaneous birds are any poultry not listed: Guinea, Peafowl, Pheasant, Dove, Quail or Pigeon. Please note on entry form what type of fowl it is so the appropriate cage size can be tagged.
- The terms "cockerel" and "pullet
- Cockerel– a male bird hatched during 2022.
- Pullet– a female bird hatched during 2022.
- The American Standard of Perfection shall be the guide to judging live poultry.
- Coops are furnished by the association free. Extra care and protection will be taken for the protection of the exhibits, but the association is not liable for any loss or injury. It may be necessary to pen 2 birds per cage. Exhibitors are responsible for the food and care of their own birds. Please use appropriate containers. No plastic cups or chick waterers.
- No names or advertising marks of any description will be permitted on any coop until the awards are placed.
- No bird will be removed from show room while on exhibition without permission in writing from the Policy Committee of the Fair Association.
- Any bird showing any signs of disease will not be permitted to compete for a prize and will be removed from the show room at once. This will be strictly enforced!
- Americaunas that do not follow a standard color should be shown in the hybrid class.
