Important Dates and Information

Breeding Class Order shown: Simmental, All Other Breeds, Angus, Hereford, Shorthorn
Must be in place by 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6
Health Certificates will be checked: Wednesday, July 6, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Weigh-in: Thursday, July 7, 9:00 a.m.
Release Time: Saturday, July 9 following the beef show
Only wood chips will be used in the barns. It will be supplied.
Cattle Tie-Outs will be in designated areas. Cattle Tie-Outs will be provided. Exhibitors will be responsible for their own dividers.
Entry Form

Rules

  1. Market Heifer along with steers born after January 1, 2021. Same with No steer or market heifer - regardless of birth date- that does not have all of it's milk teeth in place and no permanent teeth showing or evidence thereof.
  2. Show order of all breeding classes is the following order: Shorthorn, Simmental. All Other Breeds, Angus, Hereford
  3. Only heifers without registration papers will be eligible to show in the Commercial Replacement Heifer Class.
  4. Heifers shown in the Market Heifer class cannot have been shown in any other class.
  5. All bulls are to shown with nose leads.
  6. All purebred cattle must display traits that are characteristics of the breed exhibited.
  7. Exhibitors filing protests must submit a written complaint along with $50 and to be decided by superintendents.
  8. Each beef exhibitor must maintain clean pens during the fair. All exhibitors must remove manure from their stalls and then pull the wood chips away from the fence before receiving premium checks
  9. Cattle can arrive after 8 am on Wednesday, July 6 but MUST be in place by 7:30 pm on July 6.
  10. Health certificates will be checked by the fair veterinarian between 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6.
  11. Weigh-in will be Thursday, July 7 at 9:00 a.m.
  12. Beef cattle, other than sale animals, will be released following the Beef Show on Saturday until 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. Cattle still on the premises at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday must remain until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday evening.
  13. Cattle are to be shown in their natural conformation. Artificially changing the color is prohibited. The use of false tail heads is prohibited. The addition of hair, hemp or any similar substance to any part of an animal's body is prohibited.
  14. Simmental Steers must be 1/2 or higher and display traits that are characteristics of the breed.
  15. All sale animals MUST be left on the grounds until after the 4-H auction concludes. Any animals that are removed will be disqualified from the sale.
  16. Superintendent reserves the right to inspect all registration papers.
  17. Social Security numbers are required.
